Kamala Harris ended up experiencing a double dose of distressing news last night as the SoCal wildfires have reached her neighborhood.
As TGP’s Jordan Conradson reported, the Palisades wildfire actively burning in the Los Angeles area reached California’s Brentwood neighborhood, where Kamala Harris owns a home, on Saturday. Thankfully, she and her family were not home.
NBA player Lebron James, actor and former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, and other celebrities also live in the area.
Now, KTLA reports that the LAPD responded to burglary call early this morning at Harris’s home. Two men showed up to her residence dressed up in black, possibly looking for things to steal.
The individuals were detained by police but later released. The Secret Service also responded to that same call according to KTLA.

The two men were also illegally in the evacuation zone while a citywide curfew was in effect.
The Palisades Fire, which broke out on Tuesday, is the largest fire across Los Angeles County and has already wiped out more than 22,000 acres in Pacific Palisades and Malibu. It has become the most devastating wildfire in Los Angeles history.
Combined, the fires have reportedly destroyed over 37,000 acres and at least 12,000 structures.
At least eleven have died, but officials still do not know the actual number. According to Fox 11, at least 13 individuals have been reported missing.
Looters have also seized upon the opportunity to steal valuables from homes not destroyed by the fires with the cops nowhere in sight.
Except for Harris, it appears.
