Pamela Geller reports that the Biden Regime, on its way out the door, “recently announced the launch of what it billed as “the first-ever U.S. National Strategy to Counter Islamophobia and Anti-Arab Hate.”
As Geller points out, “everyone who knows how important it is for the government to police people’s attitudes and make sure they don’t commit thoughtcrimes, but the initiative, especially coming in these last days of the regime, raises more questions than it answers.”
The very concept of thoughtcrimes is un-American. In this country we are allowed to think or even say bad things as long as it is non violent or threatening. We don’t need the government policing people’s attitudes.
Bidens statement implies that violent attacks against Muslims are a daily occurrence. Nothing could be further than the truth.
“The Strategy contains more than 100 Executive Branch Actions and more than 100 Calls to Action to every sector of society to prevent and address such violent attacks and to ensure that Muslim and Arab Americans enjoy the liberties and opportunities that are the bedrock of our country. With this initiative, we are creating a path for progress, in partnership with all levels of government, civil society, and the private sector, both now and over the long term.”
Geller asks “Does it have enough time to stamp out “Islamophobia,” which the left has been whining about since even before 9/11? Or does the regime intend to give deep state bureaucrats marching orders that it will follow, under the radar, during the new Trump administration? Or is the whole thing just grandstanding?”.
It can be surmised that actually the Biden-Harris regime has future elections in mind, and so it’s likely that this new initiative to counter “Islamophobia” is designed to ensure that Muslim voters who are enraged that the regime didn’t abandon Israel altogether continue to vote for Democrats.
To be clear, those Islamist and anti-Israel, leftists will not be satisfied with this Islamophobia initiative either. Islamists want full Sharia or implementation of Islamic law according to its strictest cultural interpretation.
“The White House’s new strategy to fight the scourge of “Islamophobia” kicks off with a letter signed by Old Joe himself, claiming that “over the last year, we have experienced a sharp increase in discrimination and violence against Muslim, Arab, and Jewish communities in the United States.” As Geller points out as terrible as that is the evidence bears out differently.
According to the FBI, FBI Crime Data Explorer says that there were 265 hate crimes in the past year that were classified as “Anti-Jewish.”
Of those classified as Anti-White hate crimes, there were 79. Anti-Muslim hate crimes were below the amount of anti-White and anti-Jewish hate coming in ninth. There were only 24 anti-Muslim hate crimes.
As awful as any crime is, why does 24 incidents warrant a national strategy?
And, as these statistics come from the FBI, which is known to pander to political correctness, suggests the actual number of anti-White and anti-Jewish crimes are likely higher.
