In recent years, it seems as though ‘We, the People,’ citizens of the United States, take our citizenship and birthright for granted. It’s not to say that we don’t love our country or love the rights and freedoms we are blessed to have but when you hear the story of Eliel Rosa and see our country through his eyes you may see why we are so blessed and why we need people like him to become citizens of these United States.
Rosa’s story is about an immigrant whose love of our country is what we should expect from all those seeking citizenship. This Brazilian-born man is surprisingly a January 6th defendant and is the only “non-citizen” to receive a pardon from President Donald J. Trump on January 20th, 2025. He is a “non-citizen” not by choice but because the process of his and his family’s citizenship was paused due to his involvement on January 6th.
Rosa and his family have been seeking citizenship since 2018. They have spent tens of thousands of dollars to finish the process legally and have now been told they must start the entire process again.

The Rosa family came to the US seeking asylum from Brazil after their car was bombed in their garage. They were lucky to escape with their lives. Eliel has been a political figure in Brazil and other countries; therefore, he was a threat to the incoming fraudulent Luna government that was installed in Brazil by the globalist left.
He has been teaching about the US founding documents to students in over 24 countries and has loved America since he was a child. He has wanted to become a citizen for as long as he can remember. With an online school, he continues to teach OUR history and the truth about OUR Constitutional Republic and Government. Eliel is the founder of The Nehemiah School of Government. In an interview with the Midland Report-Telegram he was asked if he would talk about the school and he replied,

“I have been an avid student of America’s founding documents, principles and history for over two decades of my life. I came to America for a PhD in Constitutional Law, something that has sadly not materialized yet. The Nehemiah School of Government, officially launched in January 2018, aims at helping rebuild the Judeo-Christian foundations and legacies of America, as well as inspiring native citizens and immigrants to become agents of change responsible for the spiritual and social health first of their local community and then the nation, grounded upon those infallible principles…The school also promotes, three times a year – July 4, Sept. 17 and Nov. 11 – the public reading of the Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Mayflower Compact, respectively.”
Rosa has even been honored by his community in Texas several times. Even with his J6 charges, his community never turned their backs on him and his family.
Recently, the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), removed Rosa’s wife’s “asylum” from her application. Eliel’s already approved “asylum” status is now pending. This brings them back to the beginning, back to where they started in 2018.
The government has made it impossible for Eliel to see his family. His son and daughter-in-law, along with their grandchildren have had their share of problems with visas and even residency. Rosa has not been able to see his newborn grandchild or his kids in years due to all of these obstacles.

When stories about immigrants come out, we tend to think about those that get here illegally. We feel bad for their situation but ultimately, they must come here legally or be subject to deportation. Rosa has done everything he and his family have been asked to do. They have paid an exorbitant amount of money to go through the process and become citizens of the country they love.
Rosa was present at the “Save America” rally on January 6th, to see President Trump and support him. To be at the Capitol alongside, his soon to be, fellow countrymen while they stood up to have their voices heard was a beautiful site. The love of President Trump and of America was overwhelming and Rosa felt it in his being. He went into the Capital and prayed with friends old and new and then left with amazing memories, joy and all love he felt that day.
This week, Eliel is back in Washington D.C. walking through the halls of Congress. He is searching to find some relief from his situation. Desperately seeking any help, from anyone who can do something to make his situation right.

We see the efforts that Tom Homan, Marco Rubio, Kristi Noem and ICE are making to deport the illegal aliens from our streets, and it is exciting to see the success they are having. MS-13, TDA and all of the rest of the criminals (crossing the border illegally is a crime.) are not who we want in the United States.
However, in complete contrast, Eliel Rosa and his family ARE EXACTLY the kind of immigrants we should welcome here. He came here legally and has done the work to continue going through the legal process. President Trump and his administration need to be aware of how and why Rosa and his family are being denied their asylum and their citizenship. They need to know that anyone would be hard pressed to find someone that loves our country more than Eliel Rosa and he deserves to receive his United States Citizenship.
