ABC’s The View’s far-left bias is on full display daily with its panel of partisan hosts. A new study from NewsBusters shows that the partisanship extends far beyond the talking heads to the complete exclusion of conservative voices among their guests so far in 2025.
NewsBusters analyzed every episode from the 2025 season’s debut on January 6, through July 25, when it went on summer hiatus. The study found that of every single one of the 102 guests booked for political discussions was left-leaning, zero were conservative.
The View concluded their 28th season, putting them on hiatus until return for Season 29 in September. But in spite of being founded to share a wide range of opinions, a new NewsBusters study discovered that in the first seven months of 2025, the cast spoke with ZERO guests that promoted conservative or pro-Trump policies. Looking back into 2024, and there were no right-leaning guests in the entire season.
Since coming back after their winter break on January 6, The View invited 102 guests who discussed politics and they all expressed left-leaning viewpoints. During that same period, there were ZERO guests that expressed right-leaning politics.
Of those 102 left-leaning guests, 19 were Democratic politicians: Sen. Tammy Duckworth (IL), Sen. John Fetterman (PA), Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (MI), Sen. Elizabeth Warren (MA), Rep. Jasmine Crockett (TX) twice, Sen. Amy Klobuchar (MN), Gov. JB Pritzker (IL), Sen. Elissa Slotkin (MI), Sen. Chuck Schumer (NY), Sen. Cory Booker (NJ), Sen. Raphael Warnock (GA), Gov. Wes Moore (MD), former President Joe Biden and former First Lady Jill Biden, former Mayor Rahm Emanuel (IL), former Rep. Anthony Weiner (NY), and Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (NY).
Left-leaning guests also included Democrat staffers, like Biden’s press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, and Hollywood figures noted for their far-left activism, like rabid Trump-hater Mark Hamill.
NewsBusters explained their methodology for the study noting, “For a guest to be counted as either liberal or conservative, they needed to express such views during their appearance on The View. If a celebrity did not discuss politics, they were not included in the count of political leanings even if they had a history of being outspoken in the past. For example, actor Robert De Niro had a history of speaking out against President Trump, but was not included in the liberal count because politics did not come up.”
During a discussion of the study on Fox & Friends, Ainsley Earhardt noted, “So ‘The View’ only has one view?”
Co-host Brian Kilmeade added that the study produced the “least surprising stat ever.”
“They used to be somewhat balanced,” he said.
“Barbara Walters started this to get some political points of view – no script – and just get a conversation going and let us know what women talk about when they’re together. Then what happened? It ends up being an angry Democratic show.”
