It’s a flop as giant as the Amazon forest – and a fire is only the obvious ‘climax’.
To begin with, these United Nations Climate Change Conferences serve no other purpose than to perpetuate the climate hoax that funnels taxpayer money to leftist NGOs all over the world.
But besides that, the COP 30, being held in the Brazilian city of Belém, in the middle of the Amazon forest, is a major flop for several other reasons.
The Socialist Lula da Silva government in Brazil was repeatedly warned that it was too much of a gamble to hold the event in the incredibly poor city of Belém.
Holding the event in Rio or São Paulo would guarantee that things would run smoothly, but Lula is deaf to reality, and only loves the sound of his own voice.
So, the world was shown a complete fiasco.

Hundreds of thousands of trees of trees cut down for a road leading to Belém.
The lack of infrastructure was shocking to the ‘gringos’, in a city that has open air sewage running.
Update from COP30: After felling 100,000 Amazon trees for the VIP highway (quickly renamed Smugglers Highway) delegates face water shortages & $100 snacks. Food ran out before the speeches ended. There’s even less hotel capacity – people pay 5-star rates to be in roadside shabby motels.
The tents for the event were badly built, and leaked water from the inevitable tropical rains.

The UN official wrote to the Brazilian government protesting the absolute lack of structure and security for the conference.
Brazilian indigenous peoples picketed and even invaded the event to protest, generating chaos that highlighted how bad was the security of the event.

Only Emmanuel Macron and the usual suspects seemed to be having any fun.
In a major diplomatic scandal, Friedrich Merz openly spoke about how good it felt to leave ‘that place’, saying that it made them all know how beautiful Germany is.

This led to a feeble protest of Lula who unbelievably told Merz to ‘go to some bar in Belém to see beauty’.
So, what was missing after that? A fire.

So far, there’s no report on casualties, other than another hard blow on Brazil’s sense of pride.
