Another disturbing scandal is rocking the Democrat political ecosystem in New Jersey, this time involving one of the state’s most prominent LGBTQ activists with close ties to top Democrat officials.
Christian Fuscarino, 35, the longtime executive director of Garden State Equality, New Jersey’s largest and most influential LGBTQ advocacy organization, has been criminally charged.
He was charged with a second-degree charge of endangering the welfare of a child, along with two counts of simple assault.
Fuscarino was arrested by Neptune City police after authorities reviewed security camera footage that allegedly captured the violent incident inside a home on November 9.
According to an affidavit obtained by NJ.com, Fuscarino is accused of yanking the boy from his bed, smacking him in the face with an open hand multiple times, and repeatedly shoving the child into a wall.
Another person inside the home reportedly alerted authorities to the alleged abuse.

More from NJ.com:
The child was takenby a caretaker to the Monmouth County Child Advocacy Center, a facility in Freehold that investigates claims of child abuse.
A forensic interview was conducted at the center, “with no disclosure of physical abuse,” the affidavit states.
But another person living in the home came forward and “confirmed that he saw Fuscarino hit (the victim) and intervened,” the affidavit states.
The incident was captured on a home security video system, according to the affidavit.
Investigators with the state’s Division of Child Protection and Permanency acquired the video and notified the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office on Nov. 20.
The affidavit says Fuscarino told a resource worker that there had been “an episode of physical contact” between himself and the child, but he did not provide details.
Garden State Equality initially placed Fuscarino on leave before announcing his resignation:
“Garden State Equality takes allegations against our staff seriously and we oppose violence of any kind. When we learned about the charge against Mr. Fuscarino, we immediately placed him on leave. We respect the courts and will allow that process to be handled by them. We will continue our important work with our acting Executive Director.”
