House Oversight Chairman James Comer on Wednesday moved to hold the Clintons in contempt after Hillary Clinton was a no-show to her deposition.
Former President Bill Clinton was scheduled to appear for a closed-door deposition on Tuesday.

The Clintons claimed they already provided the Committee with all of the information they have on Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
Clinton’s lawyers told Politico that the House Oversight subpoenas are not enforceable because they are “not related to a valid legislative purpose,” and are therefore “invalid and legally unenforceable.”
“After five months of good-faith negotiations, President Clinton has refused to comply,” Comer said on Tuesday.
“We are now initiating contempt of Congress proceedings,” Comer added.
Oversight Committee Republicans and Democrats unanimously approved a subpoena for Bill Clinton as part of the Epstein investigation.

On Wednesday, Comer said lawmakers are moving to hold both Clintons in contempt after Hillary was a no-show to testify.
“We’re going to hold both Clintons in criminal contempt of Congress,” Comer said in remarks to reporters on Wednesday.
Comer said he scheduled an Oversight Committee markup for Wednesday, January 21, to hold Bill Clinton in contempt of Congress for defying a “lawful, bipartisan subpoena.”
