In the latest in outrageous statements from our so-called places of higher education, according to Campus Reform, “Tania Tetlow, President of Fordham University in New York, sent an email to the school community expressing support for illegal aliens as President Donald Trump cracks down on illegal immigration.”
Sadly, universities no longer simply educate but rather indoctrinate at this particular university it seems to be from the top down.
As our readers know President Trump recently signed important executive orders on illegal immigration such as Securing our Borders and declaring a “national emergency at our southern border.”
Despite this the president of Fordham seems to take the side of illegal immigrants over Americans.
According to Campus Reform, “Tetlow called immigration a “deeply complicated policy issue, [and] the subject of nuanced and robust academic debate on a university campus.”
She also claimed, ‘In this Catholic university founded for immigrants, I can remind us that one of the strongest exhortations of our faith (and of Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and other religions) is to ‘welcome the stranger,’.
I am not sure if she is intentionally misunderstanding religious doctrine but either way common sense dictates ‘welcoming the stranger’ is not the same as welcoming the illegal invaders.
If that misrepresentation wasn’t offensive enough, she also compares illegals to Hurricane victims. This is not only offensive but outrageous.
People who cannot distinguish between law breakers and storm victims should not be in the field of education.
Interestingly as previously reported by The Gateway Pundit, Fordham has a history of producing hardcore liberals.
Educators should be advocating obedience to our laws and patriotism not misrepresenting religious doctrine and making outrageous comparisons.
